Settefrati Farm is a stone structured farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, originally a convent.
It is roomy and preserves many of its original features like the white washed walls, the beams, the fireplaces and the terracotta floors. Situated on the Chianti hills, in a rich landscape of olive groves, vineyards and cypresses the house is in a quiet place but not isolated and the little village of Montaione is only 1.5 km away. A lovely little rural village with craft shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, doctors, petrol stations and excellent restaurants and pizzeria some of which only a few minutes walk.
The location of the accomodation is well reached in 40 minutes both from the Pisa International and Florence Airports along the main Florence-Pisa-Livorno road. Thanks to the central position it is near all of the most important art cities in Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano and with a one day trip even Arezzo,Montepulciano, Montalcino (famous for the fine wines Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano) and Pienza ( famous for the production of tipical cheese). The ancient route of the Via Francigena, that in the middle ages connected Rome to Canterbury, is 1km away and easy to walk or to horse ride. In only fifteen minutes by car you can reach Castelfiorentino, where there is a train station to Florence, Siena and Pisa.
In the surroundings there are many cellars of old farms and castles where you can taste wines and local products.
